LED Screens Installation

In well over 30 years we have dealt with countless installations of any kind and in any climate: on poles, on the facades of buildings, on roofs, on boats, on a truck (and cats even on the snow), and in the sea, in desert and at the top of the Alps ...

And thanks to this experience we learned that to make a trouble-free installation help (1) planning and (2) division of labor.

On this page you disclose in chronological order all the steps necessary to address the installation without hitches and delays.

Furthermore, some weeks before, we'll send you another document which will indicate exactly which activities will be conducted by us and which are to your load, all in accordance with agreements made with your consultant Euro Display reference.

Please read this brief guide to the end to get a clearer idea of what happens before and during the day of installation of your electronic billboard.

To facilitate understanding of the activities, we also used a traffic lights system, which must be interpreted in this way:

Green is an activity that is always and everywhere a load of Euro display and for which you must not do anything.

Yellow is an activity that could be charged to our or your dependents, depending on the type of installation or type of service you have requested. The document that you send in the coming weeks, will clearly assign precisely these activities.

Red is an activity that is always and everywhere to your load.

Structure and Handling

Log Bolt

  1. What Is It? The log bolt is a bolt with a very long stem used to secure the steel plate that is welded to the base of a pillar in profiled steel, the plinth of the foundation in reinforced concrete. The lower end of the bolt, a bent hook is embedded in the plinth, the upper end is threaded and close with a hexagonal nut head.
  2. Who Provides It? It Depends on who will carry out the structure: who will conduct the physical structure, will also implement the log bolt.

Caution: If the mechanical structure is provided by EuroDisplay, the log bolt will be shipped in advance, so it can be drown in the foundation plinth of concrete at least 28 days before (the time it takes the concrete to solidify completely).

If the structure is designed and created by you (or your supplier), you will need to ensure completion of log bolt according to the mechanical specifications we provided.

Plinth / Footstall

What Is It? The plinth is a block of reinforced concrete in the shape of a parallelepiped whose dimensions depend on the loads from the superstructure, from stress agents, and the bearing capacity of the soil. It should be inserted in the excavation for the foundation.

Usually excavation and plinth are provided by the same supplier company during the same intervention. The duration of the excavation and installation of the plinth depends on the size of the project (average length: 1 to 3 days).

Who Provides It? The completion of the excavation and the plinth is at your charge.

In case you have requested for a "turn-key" installation (if available in your area), the realization of both the excavation and the plinth will be in our care.

Caution: At this time, the turn-key installation is available only in some European areas, where we cooperate with partners we know and trust. If you are not being proposed with this alternative from your EuroDisplay advisor, it might be because it is not currently available in your area.

Mechanical Structure

What Is It? The mechanical structure is composed by the supporting pole (or equivalent structure) and the frame that holds the LED video wall.

Who Provides It? We provide drawings of the structure, built specifically for your installation.

Your blacksmith will implement the structure based on these drawings.

In case you have requested for a "turn-key" installation (if available in your area), the construction of the structure is organized by Euro Display.

Screws and Bolts

What Is It? The fastening equipment includes the screws and bolts necessary to secure the digital billboard to the mechanical structure.

Who Provides It? For obvious reasons, screws and bolts are provided by whom realized the mechanical structure.

So if your structure is builted by your blacksmith, screws and bolts must be provided by him.

Instead if you have requested the structure to EuroDisplay, screws and bolts are supplied by us.

Power Supply and Circuit Breaker

What Is It? The electrical connection consist in the connection of the screen to the general electric system (e.g. in Italy, it is provided by ENEL).

Who Provides It? The realization of the power supply system is always at your care and charge. EuroDisplay can not do this work for you since for the opening of the file, the competent authorities always request the contract to be signed by the final user.

Warning: the power supply system should be proportional to the screen consumption.

If you have not already received it, ask your EuroDisplay advisor the scheme containing all the information about the power to be installed, the maximum power consumption and the electrical scheme of the screen (all the information listed above are provided upon order).

VERY IMPORTANT: Any power supply line must be protected by disconnectors differential breakers with features that make them suitable for electronic loads (curve D or K). In any case, the installation should be subject to the constraints set by law depending on the type of installation planned.

The electrical setup must provide a ground resistance less than 100 OHM in the display are present several electronic power supplies that can cause currents to cause dispersion of which may be necessary to establish a differential protection greater than 30mA.

The metal structure supporting the display must always be connected to the ground resistance in accordance with the law and a proper sized cable.

Who Provides It? If you (or your blacksmith) build the structure, the transport of the structure will be at your care and charge.

Instead, if you have requested the supply of the structure, the transportation is organized by the EuroDisplay.

In this case, the same rules of the modules' transportation apply: the prices we have are usually competitive, but if you prefer to arrange the transportation on your own, just let us know.

Warning: if the structure is not provided directly by us, please remember that:

  • you must submit the drawings of the modules with the quotas for the holes to who will design and build the structure
  • the structure should already be in place when the LED screens' modules are delivered
  • the presence of the blacksmith who made the structure is essential on the day of installation, in order to avoid having to dismantle everything for a hole which is just a few millimeters too close (believe us, we speak from experience!)

Public Land Employment Permit

What Is It? In order to use cranes, forklifts or other lifting systems and park them on the road or on other public space, you must obtain permission from the City Hall or Private Entity owning that piece of land.
